Kristi A. Razack has been working in the legal field since 1983. She first began as a legal secretary, eventually taking on more responsibilities in assisting attorneys as a paralegal. Kristi has worked for the past 19 years as a paralegal with major law firms in the Oklahoma City and Dallas areas before moving to the Kansas City area in 1989. Kristi was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and attended the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University.

Kristi’s primary area of expertise is in litigation. For the past 18 years, she has actively worked in hundreds of cases involving medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability, class actions, and environmental issues. Kristi has been involved in numerous trials utilizing the latest computer technology and trial presentation software, which has become an extremely valuable tool in presenting information to juries at trial.

Much of Kristi’s valuable knowledge as a litigation paralegal comes from her many recent years of experience with a top rated law firm in Overland Park, Kansas. Kristi’s time at this firm was spent researching medical issues, which included on-line computer searches with the National Library of Medicine, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing medical records, and preparing detailed and complicated medical chronologies that assisted the attorneys in preparing a case for settlement or for trial. She was also devoted to communicating with clients to help them understand the progression of their cases, as well as the day-to-day operations of the legal system. Kristi also spent much of her time interviewing expert and fact witnesses, assisting clients in responding to discovery requests and deposition preparation, setting up databases that include, among other things, timelines taken from information in the medical research and chronologies that she prepared, and taking the responsibility of preparing the computer programs to be used by the attorney at trial.

Kristi is currently working as a freelance paralegal with her own business, Freelance Paralegal Services, Inc. She is contracted directly by attorneys where she is using her valuable experience as a highly skilled litigation paralegal. Kristi provides services, which are outlined in specific detail in the “Services” section of this brochure. Although she primarily reviews, analyzes, and summarizes medical records, deposition testimony, and any type of documents that are part of document-intensive cases, she also sets up presentations and provides these services to attorneys for their use at trials, mediations, seminars and other meetings. These services include setting up databases for medical record chronologies and/or summaries, and making these detailed and specific summaries and chronologies available to attorneys in a finalized format that can be used by the attorney to assist them in the preparation of cases for settlement or trial purposes. Kristi also is very proficient at using all types of research techniques when asked to prepare memoranda discussing various medical issues, conditions, and medications.

Kristi has been very active with the Kansas Paralegal Association and the National Federation of Paralegals. She was on the State Board of Directors of the Kansas Paralegal Association and was the KPA Marketing Director from July 1999 through July 2000. She has also been a Paralegal Affiliate of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Kansas Bar Association.

Kristi, along with her husband, Tareek, and her three sons, Christopher, Corin, and Collin, lives in Kansas. She is an avid reader, sports fan, and marathon runner, and absolutely loves spending time with her family.
